Civil War Reenactment 2018:
Step back in time and visit Civil War era Union and Confederate Soldier encampments, skirmishes and full battles. On Friday Sept. 28th at 12:15 pm there will be a short skirmish perfect for middle – high school field trips. There will be a main battle on Sat. Sept. 29th at 2:00pm and a second smaller battle on Sun. Sept. 30th at 2:00pm, complete with infantry, artillery and cavalry. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs to sit in to watch the battle, we have transportation that will take you out to the battlefield.
You can walk through and visit the soldiers in their civil war era camps and see what it would have been like to live back in those days on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, the encampment is broken down early Sunday morning before the battle. There will be a Ladies Tea during the day on Saturday time at 11:00am and Grand Ball on Saturday evening time at 7:00pm. This is all included in the regular general admission and field trip prices along with all of the other Fall & Pumpkin Patch Activities.
The skirmish on Friday is set for after lunch so that younger elementary school kids can head out before the loud noises and the big battles on both Sat. and Sun. are set to be out at the very back of the farm so anyone with very little kids that do not want to be around the loud noise can stay up front and just enjoy the normal pumpkin patch activities.
We welcome you and your family to come visit The Pumpkin Patch and see the fall colors at the farm. Take a tractor drawn hayride out to the pumpkin patch and let the kids pick their own, right out of the patch. Or choose one from our stand while the kids play on the hay fort, ride a pony and pet the animals.
We have thousands of pumpkins and gourds in our pumpkin stand. We have all sizes, shapes and colors to choose from. We also have straw, mums and corn stalks for sale to help you decorate for the fall season. Try your luck in our Hay Maze and large Corn Maize. Spend the whole day and enjoy a farm fresh dinner or supper in our Country Kitchen and browse our Country Store. Become a fan on our Facebook page for special offers and discounts!
